Busy, busy days. Youth Livestock shows are in full swing. Recently did a TV taping on meat rabbits for a show with the local PBS station. Building cages, babies being born and Easter on the horizon makes for a busy time. Plus preperations for national convention in F coming up as well!
Sassafrass had her first litter last week, 5 babies with 4 alive so 3 of Athena's babies were marked and fostered over so each now has 7 to nurse.
Meanwhite this week, Miss June (white American) had a litter of 12, with 10 alive and is nursing all like a champ. Red NZ doe might be pregnant, waiting to see if she delievers or not. Meanwhile Ug-Bug has been bred to Vader for a December delivery. Should be some blacks and Athena had her first litter on 11/5/13. 10 healthy babies and she is being a great mom so far. The sire is Slate who has 3 legs (winnings) and will be granded once he reaches Senior weight. |
